This year’s theme is Game Shows with activities occurring throughout the evening relating to one of America’s favorite - and kitschiest - pastimes. We’ll have characters from your favorite shows on hand, a game show inspired cocktail, DJs, and an audience challenge during dinner. Rumor has it the WHAMMY may even make an appearance so be prepared to press your luck!
TV Dinner 4 celebrates Verge’s ongoing development since reopening in June of 2014. Since that date we’ve hosted ten successful contemporary art exhibitions, presented a range of community events, and established a goal to provide fifty percent of our youth education opportunities free of charge on a scholarship basis.
Verge’s events are known for their unusual themes and unequaled experiences, and are part of a cultural movement in Sacramento that helps maintain local talent, attract national attention, and bring revenue to the city. By supporting creative talent in our region through collaborative artist studios, music, film, and food events, Verge is doing its part to make Sacramento a cultural destination. Your sponsorship will help ensure the success of Verge’s programming, including our Kids Summer Studio Camp and exhibition programming.
TV Dinner 4 brings together fine dining and interactive art for a unique experience. A collaboration between Chef Michael Thiemann and Verge, TV Dinner 4 combines video installation with a multi-course tasting menu inspired by the imagery being projected in the dining room. Thiemann is best known locally as the recent head chef of the Sellands Restaurant Group before leaving for Mill Valley to work as the Culinary Director to Food Network celebrity chef, Tyler Florence. Thiemann left that position in 2013 in order to return to Sacramento and open two restaurants on the K Street Mall, Mother and Empress Tavern.
Last year’s dinner sold out two months in advance so you’ll want to secure your spot as a sponsor, or become part of our host committee right away! All your friends will know you’re a supporter of the hippest arts center in town!
